Harambee Capital Campaign

Capital Campaign/Endowment Committee

The Capital Campaign Committee, which consisted of twelve dedicated members, was charged with raising the funds for the construction of the new Catholic center. Since the completion of the new structure, the committee was downsized to four members, and the name of the organization was changed to the Endowment Committee. Their new goal is to develop an endowment for the center.

Cyrenean Society

The Cyrenean Society is an organization of benefactors of Lyke House who have included the Catholic Center at the AUC in their wills. This organization meets regularly for spiritual development and to be rendered current of the center’s activities. The organization’s name was chosen from Simon of Cyrene, a black man that helped Jesus carry His cross.
